Project Life | Cover Page

My Project Life cover page is done.

I wanted to keep it simple and pretty neutral.  I know by looking at the finished result it looks like I have pulled this together in about ten minutes flat because it is SO simple but the reality is..this took me AGES. I do hope I get quicker at this Project Life gig as the year progresses!

I don’t have any Project Life kits – just the page protectors and my own stash so I have been using up what I already have on hand, printing out free journaling card printables as well as buying some digital elements. It’s all trial and error at this stage until I find my style and find my groove!!

I used Cathy Zielske’s free printables for the “A” card – although I changed the font for the “A” to something else I downloaded but I can’t remember what it was. I will investigate and add it in when I find out. I then created the other journaling card myself in Photoshop, colour matching the grey to Cathy’s card so that it matched.

I added some “scrapbook” things to the yellow floral paper and as i wanted to keep the overall feel very clean and simple, it took everything in me NOT to machine stitch those lace and ribbon bits!

In my effort to try and include the whole family in this project, I noticed when I was handwriting the word “hello” for my top journaling card, that Capri had been doodling on some cardstock using a white pencil and I decided that I liked it! So it became my title card – much to Capri’s delight to be included!!!

and it’s all done. I have been getting my processing done for all my photos at Big W. Much easier and less hassle than printing them myself. Although it means I need to be organised and get the photos done in a batch each week!

and how is the rest of my album going?

Not too bad. I am almost finished the first two weeks and so so happy with how its all going! I am loving Project Life!

And post its are my new best friend! They help me plan everything!! I have post its everywhere.

Some of my photos I am journaling directly onto the photo in photoshop and then having it processed like this..

and other photos will have some journaling cards included – eventually.  I will share my finished first two weeks (I’ve even included a 6x12inch insert this week to include more photos) once they are complete!

I would love to see your Project Life pages too – please send me a link so I can take a look!

    Hi Kim,
Where do you get the page protectors that you are using in your Project Life. I think that is the only way I will get anything done rather than the normal pages that tak eme ages as I do it and change it and add to it. I am sure you know what I am talking about

    Cheers Debbie
