Christmas Wrap Ideas

Three fun wrap ideas

Even though Christmas is only NINE sleeps away, there’s still time to make some pretty gift tags or wrap your gifts in creative ways.

Here’s three gift wrap ideas.

1. Red Clay Stars

Just another way to decorate the clay stars from this post. This time I have dabbed red paint into each stamped letter groove and wiped away with a baby wipe to leave the colour behind on the name. I then used the baby wipe to remove as much colour as possible from the star, before swiping red paint to the star edges and adding a length of baker’s twine to finish.

2. Fabric Bag with Silver Star

Dress up little gifts like lip gloss pots or jewellery by slipping them inside a fabric mini bag. I’ve used this muslin bag I bought from Aussie Soap Supplies here but you could also quickly stitch a bag together using fabric scraps if you are handy with a sewing machine.

Using the silver star from this post, I threaded some twill trim through the star hole, adding in a silver bell and tying the trim into a knot. Again, the star could then be used as a tree decoration making it an extra special gift idea.

3. Wool Wrapped Foam Ball

Dress up your wrapped gifts with this wool wrapped foam ball gift tie.

I wrapped a small foam ball with aqua wool for something a bit different from the usual fabric bows or ribbon.

Once the ball was wrapped, I tied the ends of the wool together in a small knot to keep it secure. Using a large wool needle, threaded with a long length of wool I pushed the needle and wool through the centre of the foam ball, leaving a long tail on both ends so I could wrap the whole thing around the gift.

To finish, I typed up a name tag and stapled it to the wool.

And there you go..three ideas for wrapping your gifts.
